The operating system for expedition fleets.
Crew, compliance, and operations for polar and expedition cruise. Built for the way you actually run a voyage.
One surface for the operational day.
Fleet status, voyage staffing, crew records, destination compliance, and an assistant grounded in your manuals. On the desk and in the crew’s pocket, the same product, five entrances.
Your fleet, at a glance.
Every vessel, every crew change, this week, ordered by what needs you first.
The crew’s home base.
Today’s mission, the day’s tasks, and upcoming travel greet them the moment they open the app. Their profile, app settings, and emergency contacts all stay one tap away, so nothing important is ever more than a single screen from where they start.
Every fleet still runs on Excel and group chats.
The truth about who is cleared, who is aboard, and what is due lives in five places at once, none of them talking to each other. The version that matters is whichever one was edited last.

There is a better way.
Compliance, before it’s a compliance problem.
Every destination answers to a different regime, and each one decides whether a crew member can step ashore. Gentoo holds the rulebook for all of them, indexed, current, and grounded in the authorities below.
- Passport (6-month validity)
- IAATO Field Staff Certification
- Yellow Fever Vaccination
- Enhanced Medical Examination
One lapsed IAATO Field Staff certification can ground an entire landing party.
A maximum of 100 passengers ashore at any landing site at any one time, with at least one qualified guide for every 20 guests. Larger vessels coordinate their landing slots through the IAATO ship scheduler.
Answers cite the line that backed them. If the line changes, Polaris flags every answer that depended on it.
The same loop, on both sides.
Operators ask. Crew respond from a phone they already carry. The answer lands back in your library the moment it’s done, no email, no chasing, no re-keying.

Ask on the desk. Answer from the deck. Filed before it’s forgotten.
Built for polar. Ready for everywhere expedition takes you.
Gentoo was built on the feedback of people who actually run polar expeditions: expedition leaders and operations teams who know exactly where the old tools break. It started in the hardest places to operate, the Antarctic, the Arctic, the Galápagos, and carries the same rigour wherever your fleet sails next. Polar today, anywhere on request.
